FRANCIS HAMABE ARTWORK SOUGHT FOR NEW BOOK
Courthouse Gallery Fine Art is seeking artwork by painter, printmaker and ceramicist Francis Hamabe (1917-2002) for a book to be published next spring. The book's author, noted art writer Carl Little, will be working with Karin Wilkes, a well-known graphic designer and director of the Courthouse Gallery, to produce the monograph.
The Courthouse Gallery is reaching out to local collectors who would like to have their Hamabe artwork considered for reproduction in the book. Collectors are encouraged to get in touch with the gallery at their earliest convenience by calling 667-6611 or via email at kw@courthousegallery.com.

The Seminars on Downeast Culture, September 15th-17th, is a collaborative project between the Penobscot Marine Museum, the Wilson Museum and Woodlawn where participants will explore the traditions and stories of Downeast Maine through keynote talks, interactive lectures, and hands-on experiences.
